CLF Schools Home Office in Laurel, Maryland Receives Distinguished International Delegation from Korea!

On September 20, 2017, the Education Leadership at our CMIT Academies and Chesapeake Lighthouse Foundation home offices hosted more than a dozen South Korean Officials as they learned about Public-Charter schools in the State of Maryland. It was both CLF’s pride and pleasure to showcase the new CMIT North High School building and offer a tour of our K-5 Elementary. Be it the state-of-the-art facilities, classroom technology, or college-like atmosphere, our new education partners from Korea left CLF with fresh smiles, new knowledge, and sincere friendship. We hope they will come back to visit us again soon and we look forward to working, together, to raise the global standards of education, one student at a time.
Special thanks to our CLF Board Chair Mr. Lancaster, CEO Mr. Karaman, Chief of Staff Mamie Perkins, CAO Mr. Ak, Principals Mrs. Oz & Mr. Gunes and all our staff for being such gracious hosts to our Korean Delegation. CLF would also like to acknowledge all our students at CMIT Elementary and CMIT Academy High for representing themselves and our CLF schools to a degree worth noting here. Every one of you is a continuing part of the teamwork that makes these dreams work. You’re all STEMazing!
